We are King Sign Co

King Sign started in 1972 in Boulder Colorado as a hand painting shop for signs. It mainly was for vehicles and trucks and real estate signs.

In 1979 it started to expand to lighted channel letters since there was a new mall being built in Boulder and we were able to get a lot of the work for the tenants moving in. The business was started by Tom King and his family. The kids as they grew wanted to do something different with there lives. I was at this time I was hired to do sales for Tom. I did this for about 6 years and at this time Tom wanted to retire. I made arrangements to buy him out in 1994 and have been working it since then.I was able to hire trades people that new what I didn't know and was able to create a full service sign company. We are now working on opening other markets than just Boulder. That is the reason to create a new web site so I can market to other areas.

My first large project was doing channel letters for new stores coming into Colorado. That happened to be "Whole foods " We were able to do (6) locations in the state of Colorado. That was a nice start and business kept growing since.
